Junk Folder
The Unilag mail server has powerful server-side filtering which you can use to filter spam into a pre-defined location just like the "bulk" folder in Yahoo etc. The filter is also useful for creating vacation notices and other auto-responders.
You can create a spam filter with the following steps;
1) Click on the Create Junk Folder button which is located in the Folders menu
2)Then click the Filter icon on the top menu
3) Add a new rule
4) Select the Rule Type; CITS scans all mails and attaches a header to mail that is considered spam so in this case you want to select the Header Match rule type.
5) Select the Condition; AND (every item must match)
6)Define the header: X-Spam-Flag is Yes
7) Action: Select Move message into and choose the Junk mailbox you created in Step 1. You will notice that you could have created a box here if you hadn't done so already
8) Add new rule and you are done. Remember to check your Junk mailbox often enough because the Junk mailbox is automatically purged every 7 days.
